It is with much excitement that we post about the upcoming release of Times Two, a personal memoir written by Kristen Henderson (Antigone Rising) and her partner Sarah Ellis (Real Simple Magazine). The book takes us through their journey together as a loving couple who wanted a family, and inadvertently ended up pregnant at the same time. Kristen has written several blogs about the book and some of the ordeals they’ve had to endure in the two years since the births of Thomas and Kate. Those blogs were written with Kristen’s notable sense of humor mixed with a seriousness that is likely indicative of the frustrations they both felt. I’m sure Sarah’s stories will be just as compelling and touching.
This book comes at a time when same sex issues are making the news on a daily basis. Some good, but mostly bad. Kristen and Sarah’s story is bound to touch many people out there, gay or not. I think it’s a story that needs to be heard because every positive story out there has the potential to help someone.
The official release date is April 5th, but it has been available for pre-order on several sites like Amazon & Barnes & Noble. Also, there will be a book signing before Antigone Rising’s show on April 8th at Rockwood Music Hall in NYC. Details for tickets have yet to be announced for the signing, but we will definitely post about it as soon as we know. Though, you can get the few remaining concert tickets HERE, while they last.
