Rock The Boat With Antigone Rising
A couple of weeks ago we went on a three hour tour. A three hour tour. Though, this story does not include getting stuck on an island and making a radio out of tin cans, a few bottle caps and a rubber band (this is NYC, not the tropics).
The weather turned out in our favor, after an iffy first half of the day. The sun came out, the humidity dropped, a bit. And there was a nice breeze off the water. As the sun set, NYC lit up. We got to drink in the city skyline and some great tunes. Yes, I said ‘drink in’. We did that too.
So, anyone who reads our blog knows that we’re fans of Antigone Rising’s music. A big supporters of everything they do. So, when they booked a gig on the Rocks Off Concert Cruise Series, we were so in! And we both definitely recommend going on one of these cruises if you get the chance. Good times.
The night was full of music and laughter. Typical of an Antigone Rising show. Plus, all of us trying to keep our balance as other boats passed us and caused the boat to literally rock. One particularly speedy water taxi tried to capsize us. FYI: if you have an issue with motion sickness, don’t get on the boat.
The video above is a collection of randomness from the night. Some of the sights, some of the sounds. A taste of the fun. Don’t miss the boat… um, the video.
