Joan Jett and The Blackhearts - Love Is Pain
Towards the end of The Runaways movie after Cherie has left the band, we see another glimpse of Joan’s ambition to make music her life’s goal. The scene shows a contemplative Joan soaking in a tub, in a sort of zoned out state. She slowly starts to recite words that are soon recognizable as the lyrics to “Love Is Pain”. It seems clear that she is determined to put the past behind her and continue to pursue her rock & roll aspirations, even if there would be more pain ahead.
